Introducing the FIDUS rescue tool, an heirloom quality everyday carry escape tool. FIDUS combines elegant design, practical functionality, and emergency preparedness. Designed with safety as the driving factor, the FIDUS features a carbide window breaker and seatbelt cutter in addition to a bottle opener and key ring loop. It is machined out of solid heat-treated brass then plated with nickel and finished with stainless steel hardware, stainless steel razor blade, and a solid carbide ground tip.

Tough, Hand-crafted Style
EVERY DAY CARRY MULTI-TOOL
The prototyping process included several early designs with multiple materials; the belt cutter and window breaker being the greatest challenges. Ultimately, the belt cutter blade and fastener required specialized tooling and thread forming and an internal loop was added to the design for a more ergonomic cutting function. The carbide window breaker also went through several evolutions to ensure the sharp tip is both safe and effective. Finally, the stylish nickel surface finish is achieved with multiple ceramic deburring processes and plated.
